Racks for Tube Visibility for Nitrogen Evaporator
DESCRIPTION
These custom racks are designed for test tubes to remain visible during the evaporation process, allowing the user to be able to see the amount of solvent left to evaporate, while also preventing over-drying and damaging of the samples.
The custom racks can be machined for either 15 or 24 positions, and are only compatible with our unheated MICROVAPs since the samples will not sit in a heated bath or block. For this reason, they are only recommended when evaporating small or heat sensitive samples. The 15 position rack (Catalog # NA1814) can accommodate tubes up to 22 mm OD and the 24 position rack (Catalog # NA1825) can accommodate tubes up to 16 mm OD.
They are made entirely of anodized aluminum and stainless steel. The samples will be held in place by two aluminum plates: a bottom plate that has small indents to secure the bottom of the tubes and a top plate with holes custom drilled to the size of the user's tubes. These plates will be held by threaded rods and nuts, making them adjustable for a variety of tube heights.
